Westport officials stump for Route 6 in Washington DC
Manny Soares and Christopher Thrasher of the Infrastructure Oversight Committee, and Evan Gendreau of the Westport School Committee, met with Senator Ed Markey's staff to discuss federal support for the project, which would see the construction of water and sewer lines along Route 6 from Fall River to Dartmouth.

Evan Gendreau, a public policy consultant who has lived in Westport for 15 years, is running unopposed for one open school committee seat. If elected, it would be his first term as an elected official here. He currently serves as Chariman of the Westport Republican Town Committee, and previously ran for state representative in the 8th Bristol district.
